A Fabulous Recap of an Article with Doe Deere

Doe Deere was recently in a very interesting article on Inspirely.com. She is the founder of the ultra-famous beauty brand, Lime Crime. While Lime Crime has been in existence for a mere decade, the company has managed to evolve from a startup to a massive makeup company that is found in boutique beauty stores and sells millions of products online. The article focused on everything from the founding of Lime Crime to an advice portion where she gives advice to other people who aspire to follow their true calling and build companies like she did with Lime Crime. The story of Lime Crime is pretty amazing and one of the big themes I pulled from it and from past articles with Doe Deere is to find your life’s passion and never be afraid to follow your dreams and make it happen. She believes that we all have one true calling and sometimes fear stops us from accomplishing it. She is living proof that by following your passion, you can really make your dreams come true.

First and foremost is a stunning picture of Doe Deere that includes her holding a miniature doll of herself. The doll and Doe both have her signature blue hair and bright red lips. She is originally from Russia and incredibly fair skinned. So much so, that she literally looks like a doll herself. She is known for her signature brightly colored hair that has been every shade from blue to pink to a gorgeous platinum blonde.

She tells the incredible story of Lime Crime and how is came into development several years ago. She said that she had always wanted to be in the world of fashion. She has designed her own clothing since she was younger. She also tells a story of designing clothing at a very young age to have a dress-up element for a game that she and her friends were playing at the time.

While in fashion school, Doe Deere began to question her role in the world of fashion. Something was nagging her that made her think it wasn’t what she was meant to do; it wasn’t what her soul was calling her to do. She initially began creating makeup for her own needs. She has always been a fan of extremely bright colors. However, it was the era when nude makeup was popular and she could never find the shades she wanted in the type of quality that she wanted. So, she simply created her own line of makeup. In the article, she says that designing makeup felt like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That is when she decided to make Lime Crime a makeup brand instead of a fashion brand.

Lime Crime quickly took off thanks to the help of her unique marketing through online video tutorials. People loved the makeup and loved the fact that it was vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. She quickly built up a huge customer base and the rest is history.

Doe Deere & Her Quest For Cosmetic Dominance

There are some brilliant-minded individuals in today’s society and the cosmetics industry is no exception. This field of work brings in billions of dollars on an annual basis, and it is one of the most exciting industries on earth. Brands such as L’Oréal, Maybelline, Covergirl, Almay and others have been dominating the scene for decades. These brands are tried-and-true to some degree, but they really have some of the same qualities. This blandness has watered-down the products, which has caused this exclusive industry to become a bit boring. On the other hand, there is one brand that has brought life back into the mix, and that brand is known as Lime Crime.

Lime Crime has an extended line of makeup products such as eyeliner, foundation, lip gloss, lipsticks, lip toppers and hair dye. The products are certified vegan, and they’re animal-cruelty free. That can’t be said about most of the competition. On top of that, Lime Crime offers some of the best liquid-matte lipsticks, and they come in a myriad of colors like:

  • Utopia (neon blue)
  • Bleached (pale pink)
  • Alien (neon green)
  • Wicked (blood red)
  • Teacup ( sky blue)
  • Scandal (intense plum)
  • Red Velvet
  • Pink Velvet
  • Cement (gray)
  • Black Velvet
  • And many more

This only scratches the surface in totality, but you should have a general idea of what to expect. Doe Deere has built this eclectic brand from the ground-up. It now has a huge cult-following and a very busy social media account. Deere started the brand after taking classes at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. One of the biggest issues for Deere before starting her company is that most cosmetic lines didn’t offer dazzlingly bright makeup. Lime Crime’s bright and bold colors took the industry by storm to a certain degree. Lime Crime is an equal-opportunity brand as both men and women use the products religiously. All in all, consumers can expect bigger and better things in the future, but only time will tell. Learn more: http://limecrime.tumblr.com/
